Grandmaster Wesley So, the world number 9, took on 20 members of Isle of Man Chess Club in a simul, 3 days before the start of the Chess.com IOM International.
Wesley scored 18 wins and 2 draws, IM Dietmar Kolbus and reigning Manx champion, Baard Dahl, being the unbeaten players. The event was very well received by the members and we were very impressed with Wesley’s polite and friendly manner, posing for photographs, signing the scoresheets and having a word or two for each player as the games finished.
