This website is a hub for the Isle of Man chess community with content from two distinct entities, both sharing a common goal – to strengthen and promote chess across the island and beyond.
Isle of Man Chess Association (IOMCA)
Also known as the Isle of Man Chess Club, the Association’s objectives are to:
- Promote the playing of chess among members and across the island.
- Run an annual contest for the individual championship of the Isle of Man – the Manx Chess Championship.
- Represent Isle of Man chess internationally by maintaining FIDE affiliation and encouraging members to play under the Isle of Man flag.
- Enter a national team into the FIDE Chess Olympiad.

Isle of Man International Chess Limited
The organiser of seven prestigious international tournaments held on the island between 2014 and 2023, including the historic 2017 Open and two editions of the FIDE Grand Swiss (2019 and 2023). These events were made possible through the generous sponsorship of the Scheinberg Family.
