40 moves in 100 minutes, then after Black’s 40th move players receive an additional 20 minutes and the game is completed in the time remaining.
£30 in all categories provided the entry is postmarked before 1st October. All entries after that date will be charged a late entry fee of £4. ECF members may deduct £2.
Players who withdraw before 1st October may request a refund which will be subject to a £2 administration fee.
2011 Grades will apply to all sections (see ECF website http://grading.bcfservices.org.uk/). All results will be sent to the ECF for grading. It is a condition of entry that players agree to their grading information being published on the ECF website.
Players may claim a half point bye in any round except the last. ECF pairing rules will be used. After 30 minutes from the start of each round absent players will be defaulted and a new pairing may be made for any player whose opponent has not arrived or for any player who was initially awarded a bye.
Players without ECF grades will be given a converted or estimated grade where possible. The organisers reserve the right to redistribute a grading prize won or shared by a player who has won or shared a main prize.
The Steve Maggs Memorial Trophy will be awarded for the best performance by a Manx player, as judged by the Controllers.
The controllers decisions will be final in all chess matters.
