Port Erin Commissioners
This is the first year a congress has been held on the Isle of Man since the end of the Monarch in 2007. In order to get the event back on to the chess calendar the organisers thought it would be best to start with a long weekend event. The event will continue to be held in the south of the Island at the Cherry Orchard in Port Erin. A venue that proved very popular during the time it hosted the Monarch.
